Plymouth Police make arrests

PLYMOUTH — On Oct. 24 at 1:30 p.m., Justin Rostron, 35, of Huntington, was observed driving in the area of Oak and Jefferson.
There was prior knowledge that his driving status was Habitual Traffic Violator, a level 6 Felony. He was pulled over and taken into custody without incident.
He was transported to the Marshall County Jail, where he was turned over to jail staff.

Suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Impaired driver taken into custody
PLYMOUTH — On the morning of Oct. 26, at 1:50 a.m., Plymouth Police were dispatched to the area of Oak Drive and Jefferson Street after an off-duty police officer reported an impaired driver.
Officers located and conducted a traffic stop on Oak Drive near Jim Neu Drive. The driver was identified as Joni Padilla-Solis, 29 years old of Bremen. Padilla-Solis was determined to be impaired with a blood alcohol level twice over the legal limit, and following a further investigation was taken into custody.
Padilla-Solis was transported and lodged at the Marshall County Jail on preliminary charges of Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated (OVWI), OVWI-Endangering, and Operator Never Licensed.

Suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Reckless driving arrest
PLYMOUTH — On the morning of Oct. 18, at 11 p.m., Plymouth Police pursued a speeding vehicle in the area of US 30 west of Pioneer traveling in excess of 80 MPH in a posted 50 MPH zone.
Officers were able to pace the vehicle in excess of 90 MPH which was later found to have three adults and one juvenile passengers. The driver was identified as 37 year old, Evelyn Sanchez of River Grove, Illinois. Sanchez was taken into custody and lodged at the Marshall County Jail on a preliminary charge of reckless driving.

PLYMOUTH — On Oct. 20, at 10:30 a.m., Plymouth Police Officers were conducting speed enforcement on U.S. 30 between N. Oak Dr and Pioneer Dr. when a vehicle was captured on radar traveling eastbound on U.S. 30 at a rate of 90 mph.
A traffic stop was conducted on that vehicle, and 19-year-old Brayan Pastuna Ugsh, of Chicago, was taken into custody for Reckless Driving. Pastuna Ugsh was transported to the Marshall County Jail, where he was booked and lodged. Pastuna Ugsh was issued a court date and a bond.

PLYMOUTH — On the morning of Oct. 24, at approximately 1:30 a.m., Plymouth Police were conducting traffic enforcement on US 30 when a vehicle was found to be traveling at 100 Miles Per Hour in a posted 50 MPH zone near Oak Drive.
A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was identified as 30 year old Musa Aslan of Brighton, Massachusetts. Aslan was taken into custody for reckless driving and lodged at the Marshall County Jail.

Plymouth Police make operator never licensed arrests

PLYMOUTH — On Nov. 9, at 9:40 p.m., Plymouth Police stopped a vehicle in the area of N. Michigan Street and Elliot Street for a moving violation, which involved a lane violation and failing to stop at a traffic light.
The driver was identified as Johan J. Mata-Sandoval, 20, of Plymouth. During the course of the traffic stop, it was discovered that Sandoval was operating a motor vehicle without ever receiving a license.
Sandoval was transported to the Marshall County Jail, where he was booked and lodged for knowingly or intentionally operating a motor vehicle without ever receiving a license.

PLYMOUTH — On Nov. 7 at 12:38 p.m., a vehicle being driven by Bryan Romero, 23, of South Bend, was stopped for a traffic infraction.
He was found to have never received a license. He was lodged at the Marshall County Jail.

PLYMOUTH — On Oct. 25, at 10:10 p.m., Plymouth Police Department stopped a vehicle for no taillights and unsafe lane movement.
The driver was identified as forty-one-year-old Gerardo Contreras-Rivera of Plymouth. It was discovered that Contreras-Rivera was found to be operating a motor vehicle without ever receiving a license.

PLYMOUTH — On the morning of Oct. 25, at 12:50 a.m., Plymouth Police conducted a traffic stop for moving violations on Plum and Jackson Street.
The driver was identified as Perla Cerrato, 18 years old, of Plymouth. Cerrato was determined to have never been issued a driver’s license and was taken into custody. Cerrato was lodged at the Marshall County Jail for Operator Never Licensed.

Warrants served by Plymouth officers

PLYMOUTH — An Officer of the Plymouth Police Department was dispatched to the Marshall County Probation Department for a man who had an active warrant.
Johnny Jones of Chicago was taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail.

PLYMOUTH — On Oct. 28, officers with the Plymouth Police Department became aware of an active arrest warrant for Jorden Hanthorn, 33, of Plymouth.
Officers made contact with Hanthorn at his residence, and he was taken into custody and transported to Marshall County Jail without incident.

PLYMOUTH — On Oct. 31, at 8:30 a.m., Nicholas Creighbaum was arrested by the Plymouth Police Department for an active warrant for Violation of Probation while at the Marshall County Probation Dept. He was transported to the Marshall County Jail, where he was booked and lodged under his warrant.

PLYMOUTH — On the afternoon of October 31, 2025, Plymouth Police received information that Shane Allen Wilson (26), had multiple warrants for his arrest. Officers arrived on scene to his residence and placed Wilson in custody. Wilson was transported and lodged into the Marshall County Jail for his warrants.

Warrant arrests by Plymouth officers

PLYMOUTH — On the afternoon of Oct. 20, Plymouth Police received information that Brenda Esperanza Figueroa-Diaz, 36, of Plymouth, was residing at a new address and had a warrant for her arrest.
Officers arrived on scene and located Figueroa-Diaz inside the residence. Figueroa-Diaz was transported and lodged into the Marshall County Jail for her warrant.

PLYMOUTH — Kevin Bergan, 50, of Elkhart was arrested for an active warrant for Violation of Probation while at the Marshall County Probation Dept.
He was transported to the Marshall County Jail where he was turned over to jail staff for processing.

PLYMOUTH — On Oct. 11 at 5:55 p.m., Officers with the Plymouth Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for which the registered owner was shown to have a warrant.
The officer stopped the vehicle at Michigan Street and Harrison Street. During the stop, the passenger was identified as Baylee Elizalde, a 27-year-old from Plymouth. The officer asked dispatch to verify Elizalde’s name and date of birth, and they advised he had a nationwide warrant out of Hancock County, Indiana, for probation violation.
The registered owner was not in the vehicle. Elizalde was transported to Marshall County Jail, where he was booked in for his warrant.

Plymouth Police make never licensed arrests

PLYMOUTH — On Oct. 1, at 7:51 p.m., Plymouth Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of N. Michigan Street and Novelty Street for an unsafe lane movement violation.
During the course of the investigation, it was discovered that thirty-eight-year-old Carlos D. Castillo-Lopez of Plymouth was operating a motor vehicle without ever receiving a license. Castillo-Lopez was transported to the Marshall County Jail, where he was booked and lodged for knowingly or intentionally operating a motor vehicle without ever receiving a license.

PLYMOUTH — On the afternoon of Oct. 12, a Plymouth Patrolman initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle after observing that the vehicle failed to yield the right of way for a pedestrian.
While speaking with the vehicle’s driver, it was discovered that Cintia Johana Matute Velasquez, 32, had never received a driver’s license. Velasquez was transported and lodged into the Marshall County Jail, and charged with Operating A Vehicle Without Ever Obtaining a License – With a Prior Conviction.

PLYMOUTH — On Oct. 16 at 2:21 p.m., a vehicle being driven by Ernest Alfredo Lumbi Montoya, 26, was stopped for a traffic infraction.
Montoya was found to have never obtained a license. He was lodged at the Marshall County Jail.

PLYMOUTH — On Oct. 22, at 1:58 a.m., Plymouth Police initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle that had no headlights or taillights on.
The driver, later identified as twenty-year-old Johan Mata of Plymouth, was found not to have a driver’s license. Mata was transported to the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department, where he was booked and lodged for knowingly or intentionally operating a motor vehicle without ever receiving a license.

PLYMOUTH — On the afternoon of Oct. 19, a Plymouth Patrolman initiated a traffic stop near the intersection of Garro Street and Michigan Street.
While speaking with the driver of the vehicle, it was determined that the driver had never obtained a driver’s license. Jose Paguada Avila, 49, was transported and lodged into the Marshall County Jail and charged with Operating a Vehicle Without Ever Obtaining a License.

PLYMOUTH — On Oct. 15, an officer with the Plymouth Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with no taillights.
During the traffic stop, it was discovered that the driver had never held a valid license. Saul Alejandro Gutierrez Pablo, 24, of Champaign, Illinois, was arrested and transported to the Marshall County Jail for Operating Without Ever Receiving a License.

PLYMOUTH — On Oct. 17 at 1:48 p.m., a vehicle being driven by Joel Gomez was stopped for a traffic infraction. Gomez was found to have never obtained a driver’s license. During the stop, Padilla was found to be in possession of suspected Marijuana. Both were lodged at the Marshall County Jail.

Operating while intoxicated

PLYMOUTH — On Oct. 4, at 3:43 a.m., Plymouth Police initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle believed to be driving while impaired.
The driver, identified as Patrick Leary, 40, of Plymouth, had interacted with officers earlier in the night and was known to be under the influence of some sort of substance. After the investigation was complete, Leary was taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail where he was lodged for Operating While Intoxicated- Class C Misdemeanor.

While talking with the driver, Miguel Contreras, it was found that he had never held a valid license.

Operator never licensed arrests

PLYMOUTH — On the morning of Oct. 6, at approximately 4:45 a.m., Plymouth Police Officer conducted a traffic stop on Markley near Western Avenue for a known license violation.
The driver was identified as Yesson Sanchez-Mendieta, a 28-year-old from Plymouth. Sanchez-Mendieta was taken into custody and lodged at the Marshall County Jail for Operating Without a License and without Financial Responsibility, Both Prior Offenses.

PLYMOUTH — On Oct. 3 at 7:34 a.m., a vehicle being driven by Agustin Velasquez, 40, of Monon, was stopped for a traffic infraction.
Velasquez was found to have never received a license. He was lodged at the Marshall County Jail.

Driving while suspended arrests

PLYMOUTH — On Oct. 7, at approximately 1:30 p.m., Plymouth Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Markley Dr near the intersection of Oak Dr.
The driver of the vehicle, 51-year-old Natividad Leiva Jr, was found to have a driver’s license status of Suspended with a Prior (Misdemeanor). Leiva Jr was taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail, where he was booked and lodged.

PLYMOUTH — On Oct. 4, a vehicle being driven by Chris-Lynn R. Haywood, 32 of Fort Wayne, was stopped for a traffic infraction.
Haywood was found to have a license status of suspended-prior. She was lodged at the Marshall County Jail.

Warrants served

PLYMOUTH — On Sept. 27 at 6 a.m., Plymouth Police located and arrested Jared Warner, 43, at the Economy Inn.
Warner had three separate arrest warrants in Marshall County. He was transported to the Marshall County Jail, where he was lodged without bond for the active warrants.

PLYMOUTH — On Sept. 23 at 1:16 p.m., a vehicle being driven by Ted J. Hight, 31, of Warsaw, was stopped for a traffic infraction. Hight was found to have an active warrant for his arrest through Kosciusko County He was lodged at the Marshall County Jail.

Plymouth Police make unlicensed arrests

PLYMOUTH — On the afternoon of Oct. 2, a Plymouth Officer observed a vehicle traveling on Michigan Street, with sheet metal obstructing the driver’s view.
After speaking with the driver of the vehicle, it was determined that Jose Yobani Vargas-Mejia (53) had never received a license.
Vargas-Mejia was transported and lodged into the Marshall County Jail, and charged with operating a vehicle without ever obtaining a license.

PLYMOUTH — On Oct. 2 at 12:35 a.m., Plymouth Police were conducting speed enforcement on US 30. A traffic stop was initiated on a vehicle traveling at 80Mph in a posted 60Mph zone, East of Michigan Road. During the traffic stop it was discovered that the driver, Jason Dicuru Astudillo was operating the vehicle without ever obtaining a valid driver’s license. Dicuru Astudillo was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Marshall County Jail.

PLYMOUTH — On Sept. 30 at 1:30 p.m., a car driven by Isaul Granados Mendoza, 46, was pulled over for a traffic violation.
During the subsequent investigation, it was determined that Mendoza was operating a vehicle without ever receiving a license (with a prior conviction for the same). He was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Marshall County Jail.

Deputies make OWI arrest

BOURBON — On Friday, Sept. 26, at 7 p.m.,​ ​Marshall County Dispatch broadcast a report of a two-vehicle personal injury accident on US 30 near Fir Rd.
Bourbon Fire/EMS,​ Bourbon Police, and Marshall County Officers responded. During the crash investigation, Officers discovered that the driver of one of the vehicles was exhibiting signs of alcohol intoxication.
Marc Witwer, 77, was transported to the Marshall County Jail for operating a motor vehicle with a BAC of .15% or more,​ operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated endangering.

Operating without a license

ARGOS — On Sept. 19,​ at 7:25 P.M., a ​Marshall County Sheriff’s Deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of U.S. 31 and S.R. 10. ​
During the course of the traffic stop, it was determined that the driver of the vehicle,​ Ibarra R. Gregorio,​ was operating the vehicle without ever having received his driver’s license. ​
Ibarra was arrested and lodged in the Marshall County Jail.

Suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Plymouth Officers make license infraction arrests

PLYMOUTH — On Sept. 29 at 7:03 p.m., Officers with the Plymouth Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle. The Officer noticed a man driving, who was identified as Jorge Terrones, 39 years old, of Plymouth, while on Columbus St driving towards Jefferson, and knew his license was suspended.
The officer noticed that Terrones didn’t come to a complete stop at Columbus and Jefferson Street. The officer conducted a traffic stop, and the vehicle didn’t pull over until Kingston and Lincolnway East.
Terrones was taken into custody and transported to Marshall County Jail, where he was booked in for Driving While Suspended Prior.

PLYMOUTH — On Sept. 30 at 7:30 a.m., a vehicle being driven by Brayan Josue Ramirez-Carranza, 23 of Chicago, was stopped for a traffic infraction.
Ramirez-Carranza was found to have never obtained a driver’s license. He was lodged at the Marshall County Jail.

PLYMOUTH — On Sept. 28, at 7:04 p.m., Officers with the Plymouth Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a motorcycle that the registered owner came up was suspended.
The driver and registered owner was identified as Timothy Abair, 36, of Plymouth. Abair was suspended previously. He was taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail, where he was booked for driving while suspended.

PLYMOUTH — On the morning of Sept. 24, at 5:15 a.m., a Plymouth Police Officer conducted a traffic stop in the area of Michigan Street near Meadow Drive for a moving violation. During the investigation, it was determined that the driver, Heydi Herrera-Munguia, 18 years old from Plymouth, was found to have never been issued a driver’s license and was taken into custody before being lodged at the Marshall County Jail.

PLYMOUTH — On Sept. 25, at 4:37 p.m., a vehicle was observed with a front windshield violation in the area of S. Michigan Street and E. Lake Avenue.
Plymouth Police conducted the traffic stop. During the stop, it was discovered that the driver, Doralina Castro-Guifarro, 32, of Plymouth, was found to be operating the motor vehicle without ever receiving a license.
Castro-Guifarro was transported to the Marshall County Jail where she was booked and lodged for: Knowingly or Intentionally operating a motor vehicle without ever receiving a license.

PLYMOUTH — On Sept. 26 at 1:41 a.m., a Honda CRV was stopped for possibly being an impaired driver. After speaking with the driver, Adrian Cabrera-Diaz, 35 of Plymouth, it was found that he had never possessed a driver’s license. He was taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail.

License violation arrests

Operating without a license
PLYMOUTH — On Sept. 17 at approximately 4:58 a.m., Plymouth Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at the intersection of Plum and Harrison St. for failing to yield to oncoming traffic.
The driver of the Vehicle, Enrique Nunez-Perez, 32, of Plymouth, was found to be operating the vehicle without ever obtaining a license with a prior conviction.
Nunez-Perez was arrested and transported to the Marshall County Jail.

Driving while suspended arrest
PLYMOUTH — On Sept. 18, at 10:39 p.m., a vehicle was observed failing to stop at a stop sign with improper headlights and a front windshield violation in the area of Baker Street and Randolph Street.
Officers with the Plymouth Police Department were assigned to bike patrol and made contact with the driver, twenty-nine-year-old Ana G. Mencias-Valle, 29, of Plymouth. It was later discovered that Mencias was driving on a suspended license with prior convictions.
Mencias was transported to the Marshall County Jail, where she was booked and lodged for driving while suspended.

Plymouth man arrested for OWI

PLYMOUTH — On Sept. 14,​ around 12:53 a.m.,​ a Marshall County deputy stopped a red Ford Mustang on Oak Road just south of Jefferson Street for failure to dim headlights.
The driver of the vehicle,​ identified as Austen Hayes of Plymouth, ​was found to have been drinking. After field sobriety tests and a certified breath test, it was found that Hayes ​ ​was intoxicated and was arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
He was taken to the Marshall County Jail.

Suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. ​

Possession charge

On Sept. 13,​ 2025,​ at approximately 8:00 pm,​ Marshall County Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle near the 12,​000 block of Michigan Road. During the investigation,​ suspected marijuana was located. The driver of the vehicle,​ Austin Richard Wheeler,​ 21, was taken into custody and lodged in the Marshall County Jail for B misdemeanor possession of marijuana.

Warrants served by Plymouth Officers

PLYMOUTH — On the afternoon of Sept. 11, Plymouth Police were notified of a subject at Garden Court Downtown (315 E. Garro Street), who had a warrant for his arrest.
Plymouth Officers located Samuel Cocke (66) and placed him into custody. Cocke was transported and lodged in the Marshall County Jail for the warrants.

PLYMOUTH — On the afternoon of Sept. 10, Plymouth Police received a tip that Sarah Faye Beatty (41) was at her residence and had warrants for her arrest.
Officers located Beatty at the residence. Beatty was transported and lodged in the Marshall County Jail for those warrants.

Driving without a license arrests

PLYMOUTH — On Sept. 12, at approximately 2 p.m., Plymouth Police conducted a traffic stop in the area of 900 W. Harrison St on a vehicle for a moving violation that occurred at the intersection of W. Harrison St and N. Plum St.
The driver of the vehicle was identified as 36-year-old Elida Cardona-Rodriguez, 36, of Plymouth.
Cardona-Rodriguez was found to have never been issued a driver’s license. She was then taken into custody for operating a vehicle without ever receiving a license and transported to the Marshall County Jail.

PLYMOUTH — On Sept. 14 at 7:05 a.m., a traffic stop was initiated for disregarding a stop sign.
Further investigation showed that the driver, Armando Garcia, 27, had never been issued a license. He was taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail.

PLYMOUTH — On the morning of Sept. 11, at 2:20 a.m., a Plymouth Police officer conducted a traffic stop on Lincolnway East near 10th Road after the officer knew the driver, 44-year-old Erick Gama-Barrios of Plymouth, to be unlicensed.
Gama-Barrios was confirmed to have a previous conviction for operating without a license and was taken into custody for operating a vehicle without a license.
