Continue readingA resolution presented during the Bremen Town Council meeeting Monday night recognizes the accomplishments of the Bremen High School Girls Softball Team this year in reaching the goal of a Class 2A state championship and compiling a record of 29-2 including a Northern Indiana Conference record of 11-1.
Bremen Town Council President Michael Leman read aloud from the resolution that highlights that many of the team members received personal awards and titles in addition to team awards and titles from this year’s season.
“…Now, therefore be it resolved by the town council of the Town of Bremen, Indiana, on behalf of the municipality and its citizens, it does hereby commend the Bremen High School Softball Team and expresses its appreciation and gratitude of the community to them for the manner in which they have represented the Town of Bremen.”
The resolution also commends the coaching staff for their leadership and dedication.
The Bremen Town Council members approved the resolution with a unanimous vote.
Each player and coach received a Town of Bremen pin from the town council.
The Bremen Town Council members considered a resolution that would rename a road in memory of Steve Ervin, the late Cemetery Superintendent.
