Bourbon Town Council Approves 2019 Salary Ordinance
The 2019 Salary Ordinance for the Town of Bourbon was adopted Tuesday night.
A two percent pay increase was included for all full-time employees, according to Clerk-Treasurer Kim Berger. Berger added that the only other major change had to do with the Town’s insurance policy. Continue reading
South Bend TV Station among Organizations Targeted in Unsubstantiated Bomb Threat Scare
The WNDU Studios in South Bend had to be evacuated Thursday after an emailed bomb threat was received. Our reporting partners at WNDU say that numerous police units responded and no credible threat was found during a search of the building.

In order to help this year’s senior class at Triton High School make it to Washington D.C. this spring, the school corporation’s annual Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser will be held this Friday.

Argos Town Council Discusses Grant Opportunity Through IHCDA
A grant opportunity through the Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority was highlighted during last week’s Argos Town Council meeting.
Councilwoman Suzanne Umbaugh presented the information during the meeting and explained that through this specific IHCDA program, the Town would donate three lots where housing could be built.

Argos Fire Department Makes Funding Arrangements for the Purchase of Uniforms
The Argos Volunteer Fire Department is working out funding arrangements in order to purchase some uniforms. The matter was discussed when the town council met Wednesday evening.

About a half an hour before midnight on Thursday, December 6th, units from the Plymouth Police Department were dispatched to a residence on North Plum Street, in reference to a domestic battery that occurred.

Plymouth High School Receives $1,000 IN-MaC Manufacturing Micro-Grant
To help foster the growth of youth manufacturing initiatives, a $1,000 IN-MaC Manufacturing Micro-grant was recently awarded to Plymouth High School.
PHS Assistant Principal Ken Olson said that the grant funds will give many of the teachers and sophomore students who are interested in vocational programs at PHS the opportunity to visit local corporations and businesses that are engaged in Advanced Manufacturing Solutions in Plymouth and the surrounding area. Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office Releases Statement Over Fatal Bus Accident Investigation
On behalf of the Marshall County Prosecutor’s office, Prosecutor Nelson Chipman recently extended heartfelt sympathies to the victims and families impacted by Wednesday’s bus accident.
In a statement shared with media outlets, Chipman mentioned that the investigation into the fatal crash on U.S. 31 continues.
