Plymouth Police Respond to Report of Domestic Battery on Plum Street Thursday Night

About a half an hour before midnight on Thursday, December 6th, units from the Plymouth Police Department were dispatched to a residence on North Plum Street, in reference to a domestic battery that occurred.

When the responding officer arrived at the scene, the suspect had reportedly left. During the course of the investigation, police found the female victim had multiple injuries to her face, arms, neck and legs from the battery. According to authorities, the incident occurred in the presence of children.

The suspect, identified as 36-year-old Xavier E. Witt, of Plymouth, was later located and taken into custody.

He was transported to the Marshall County Jail where he was lodged for domestic battery with serious bodily harm, strangulation, interfering with the reporting of a crime and violation of a protective order.
