Plymouth Man Faces Multiple Charges after Reportedly Escaping from Police Custody

A Plymouth man accused of sexual battery and criminal confinement is facing some additional charges after apparently escaping police custody during the time of his arrest last Thursday.

According to authorities with the Plymouth Police Department, an investigation led to the arrest of 30-year-old David Cottrell around 1 p.m. on Thursday, December 13th.

At the time of his arrest for charges of sexual battery and criminal confinement, Cottrell reportedly fled the scene on foot. A foot pursuit led to his apprehension and he was incarcerated in the Marshall County Jail. He was subsequently charged with escape and resisting law enforcement on top of the other charges he was already facing.
