The Culver Town Council will return to an item that left a couple of questions at their meeting tonight.
The Town found itself unable to move forward with the replacement of the roof at the Town Hall and the Sewer building. The work was originally bid in March, but the company awarded the work did not include the price of labor in their work.

The Culver Town Council has taken another step toward implementing an upgrade to its water treatment facility.
An amendment to an existing water rate ordinance was considered during a special meeting Monday night to help pay for the construction. This is the third increase in water rates Culver has implemented since December.
The Culver Town Council may have to go back to the drawing board for work to the Town Hall’s Roof.
The Town accepted bids to upgrade the roof at the Town Hall as well as a second building. Work to the Town Hall was stopped, however, because the bid did not include the price of labor.

The Triton School Board agreed to the purchase of several items to continue updating and renovating its buildings.
A bond was issued, generating $1.5-million in revenue for the school corporation to use on the projects. The money has so far been used to develop of a new maintenance building and provide new carpeting in the schools.

The Marshall County Highway Department has a plan they hope can better maintain roads.
During Monday’s Marshall County Commissioners meeting, Highway Department Staff provided updates on this year’s road projects, including about $180-thousand spent this year that is not included in the project list.

Phase One of the renovation to St. Joseph Regional Hospital in Plymouth is now complete.
The Health System is undertaking an extensive two-part construction project. Phase One oversaw the expansion of the Emergency Department – which now sits at a comfortable 8-thousand square feet.
The Culver Town Council has taken another step toward upgrading its water treatment facility.
During a special meeting on Tuesday night, an ordinance that allows a bond issuance to take place was considered. Culver is in the process of undertaking a $1.6-million upgrade to its water treatment facility. Fees and other expenses put the project in the $2.2-million range.

A fire training facility received conditional approval from the Marshall County Commissioners on Monday morning.
The site has been in the works for some time, but plans are to move forward with construction for firefighter, police, and EMS training opportunities. The training tower recently received a recommendation from the Marshall County Jail Holding Corporation to host the site on the jail property adjacent to the employee parking lot.

Design and development plans for a new Water Treatment Plant are at the stage where the Town can make a decision regarding the use of fluoride in the water system. The chemical is commonly used in the prevention of tooth decay.

Work continues on the campus of Ancilla College.
The two-year liberal arts school is in the process of constructing a residence hall for freshman students. The building is expected to be finalized before the fall semester begins in August.

The Town of Culver held a public hearing on a project that may see housing developed along State Road 10.
What was initially named “Harbor Landing” has seen a change to “Maple Ridge Villas” to prevent confusion for emergency responders. The development calls for about 30 homes, or condominiums, that will be priced between $175-thousand and $250-thousand.
