The John Glenn School Board approved an action to place Superintendent Richard Reese as the school’s representative on the St. Joseph/Elkhart County Head Start Consortium Board of Directors.
Superintendent Reese explained that the John Glenn School Corporation is part of the head start consortium that encompasses about 10 school corporations. Head start classes are available at the local school corporation for students ages three and four. There are certain restrictions.

A Walkerton man was taken to the hospital Monday after reportedly driving a pickup truck into a rural Marshall County home. The Marshall County Sheriff’s Department says it happened around 7:20 a.m. in the 1500 block of Tamarack Road near Walkerton. According to the incident report, the pickup went off the roadway and proceeded to go “completely through the house.”
A Plymouth man was arrested early Saturday morning, after police reportedly found cocaine and marijuana during a traffic stop. A vehicle driven by Diego Gonzalez, 21, was pulled over on 9A Road near Suter Drive around midnight Saturday, according to the Marshall County Police Department. 
The Marshall County Commissioners have set aside time today to hear public comment on the proposed tax increase to help reestablish the Cumulative Capital Development Fund to the maximum point. A public hearing on the matter is set for 9 a.m.
