Plymouth Students in the Dog House

Students at Riverside Intermediate School have completed a project that they hope can raise a bit of money.

According to information provided by the Plymouth School Corporation, the students constructed a dog house with the help of several teachers from various subjects. The dog house along with lick mats for dogs, which is considered quite elaborate, is on display in the entry at Riverside.

Lacking Revenue, Participation Prompt Culver School Board to Eliminate “Shop” Program

The Culver School Corporation is hoping students find other classes to take after a decision on Monday night to eliminate an academic program.

Lacking student participation and enrollment prompted administration with Culver Schools to propose scrapping the Industrial Technology classes at the high school and middle school. The classes are more commonly known as “shop.”

Plymouth Students Continue Tradition with Spring Variety Show

Fine Arts students at Plymouth High School will be showcasing their talents on Friday and Saturday.

The students have assembled their spring production which, this year, will once again be a variety show. Over 100 students involved in different groups, such as: the Pit Band, Chorus, Crimson Connection, Winter Guard, and Drum Line will participate. According to a press release, the show is being called “Time Machine.”

PSAT Results Allow Better Predictions in Plymouth School Corporation

The Plymouth School Board may be able to better predict how students will perform on future SAT exams.

During Tuesday night’s meeting, PSAT data from the Class of 2017 was reviewed. The PSAT is designed to be given to High School Juniors. Plymouth Schools, however, have sophomores and a select group of juniors take the test. The state of Indiana helps fund the assessment.
