Two Parcels Originally Conveyed to the MCEDC Returned to the Town of Argos

According to Argos Clerk-Treasurer Lisa Mullaney, a portion of the property that was given to the Marshall County Economic Development Corporation will be returned to the town of Argos.

Initially, the town of Argos conveyed approximately 33 acres of land to the MCEDC. Mullaney explained that the land was divided into three parcels. Two of those parcels will be returned to the town while the Development Corporation will keep a parcel that is about 17.82 acres. On Wednesday, Argos Town Council members voted to accept the plat.

Construction of a Manufacturing Center is already taking place on the parcel owned by Marshall County Economic Development Corporation.

Though no official plans have been made for the two parcels that now belong to the town again, Mullaney said there is hope those will be used for further development in the Industrial Park on Dewey Street.
