Plymouth Police K9 Jax Helps Get More Than 16 grams of Narcotics off the Streets

Over the weekend, Plymouth Police K9 Jax assisted with the apparent discovery of more than 16 grams of a Schedule II Narcotic, leading to two arrests.

Plymouth Police K9 Officer John Weir reports that he was in the area of Muckshaw and Oakhill Avenue shortly before 5 p.m. on Saturday, May 5th when he spotted suspicious activity in the cemetery in the area of Oakhill and Lincoln Street.

In his officer’s narrative, Weir stated that has he approached the subjects, 37-year-old Michal Lee Pittman attempted to walk away and 63-year-old Robert Lee Warner tried to drive off. Continue reading

Culver and Plymouth Police Departments Participated in Increased Impaired and Dangerous Driving Patrols in March

In March of 2017, the weekend before St. Patrick’s Day had the highest number of crashes involving impaired drivers. This year, federal traffic safety funds administered by the Indiana Criminal Justice Institute supported saturation patrols and sobriety checkpoints for more than 230 law-enforcement agencies across the state.

The Plymouth and Culver Police Departments were involved in the increased patrols and check-points that ran during St. Patrick’s Day, the first rounds of the NCAA Tournament and the days that many schools were recognizing spring break. Continue reading

Theft Suspects Allegedly Attempt to Flee, Apprehended by Marshall County and Plymouth Police Officers

Officers with the Plymouth Police Department were dispatched to Wal-Mart around 4:30 p.m. on Friday, April 6th in reference to a theft that had just occurred where one male subject involved with the incident had apparently fled the scene.

Marshall County officers were able to locate the suspect vehicle and conducted a traffic stop, according to the police report. The male party involved was apparently detained and transported back to Wal-Mart by Plymouth Officers. Continue reading

Ten Arrested in Warrant Sweep

 

Ten people were arrested in the early morning hours on Sunday in a year-long undercover investigation called Operation Orthodox conducted by the Knox City Police Department.

Officers from the Knox City Police Department were assisted by the Starke County Sheriff’s Department and the Knox, North Judson and Plymouth Police Departments in executing the arrest warrants.

Plymouth Man Who Reportedly Led Police on a Chase to the County Line Faces Resisting Law Enforcement Charge, Among Others

A Plymouth man was taken into custody Thursday morning, after allegedly fleeing from police.

Plymouth Police Department K9 Officer John Weir reports that shortly after 8 a.m., he initiated a traffic stop on a gold Honda Accord for an infraction. The driver, 35-year-old Gary Werb reportedly fled the scene in his vehicle. Continue reading
