The Culver Town Council approved Ordinance 2022-003 -Rezone 415 Lake Shore Drive from Commercial to Planning Unit Development (PUD) on first read during the meeting Tuesday. The Culver Plan Commission favorably recommended the rezone after a public hearing and meeting held last month.

CULVER — After an update by Laura Walls, President of Marshall County Economic Development Corporation (MCEDC), the Culver Town Council requested increased in-person updates at meetings and increased transparency.
A public hearing was held Tuesday night concerning a request to rezone 415 Lakeshore Drive in Culver from a Commercial-2 property to a Planned Unit Development property. The property is where the former City Tavern building used to stand.
The Culver Town Council members will hold a public hearing tonight on a proposed rezoning of the former City Tavern property at 415 Lakeshore Drive from a Commercial-2 (C-2) zone to a Planned Unit Development (PUD) zone. The Culver Planning Commission will also hold a hearing at 5 p.m. ET on the same topic prior to the town council meeting.
