The Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety held discussion on an amendment to the techFarm land sales agreement with Van Vactor Farms on Monday night.
Under the current agreement, which is amended from the original agreement, when land is sold in the techFarm area the money from the sale is split between Van Vactor Farms and the City of Plymouth. The city’s portion goes into a monetary gift fund to be used at the discretion of the Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety members to enhance the city. Continue reading



Triton Elementary School Principal Jeremy Riffle was officially approved as the new superintendent of Triton at a school board meeting Monday night. Superintendent Donna Burroughs said now that the superintendent position is filled, the board members will be working to find a new elementary school principal.

A Bremen man who was reportedly found hiding under a farm tractor last week was taken to jail for possession of methamphetamine. On the morning of Sunday, November 5, a Marshall County Sheriff’s Deputy says he saw a black Chevy pickup truck parked along U.S. 30, west of Iris Road at around 3:15 a.m. The officer says it was foggy, and the truck didn’t have any lights on, so he stopped to check on it. He says he didn’t find anyone inside, but he did notice “items within the vehicle associated with criminal activity.”
Shortly after midnight Monday morning, The Plymouth Police Department and Plymouth EMS were called to The Mayflower Tavern at 1111 W Jefferson Street for a physical fight that occurred.
A report of shoplifting allegedly led to the discovery of methamphetamine in Plymouth Friday night. Plymouth Police were called to the Walmart parking lot shortly after 7:30, after store employees accused two men of shoplifting.
