The Bremen Police Commissioners recently recommended the promotion of Officer Nick Spaid from First Class Patrolman to Sergeant.
According to Police Chief Brad Kile, Spaid has served the community for past 18 years as a police officer. He graduated from Bremen High School in 1996 and is also a veteran of the United States Navy.
The increase in pay wouldn’t take effect until the next pay period that begins on Sept. 16.
The promotion request was presented to the Bremen Town Council members on Monday who approved the promotion with a unanimous vote.
Marshall County Commissioner Asks Council for More Highway Funding
Marshall County Commissioner Stan Klotz appeared before the county council Monday morning to make another request for more funding for the highway department to finish some projects this year.
