Culver School Board Members Consider Water Tower Lease

The Culver Community School Board members reviewed a lease agreement last week that pertains to use of space on the town’s water tower for communication equipment.

Superintendent Karen Shuman explained that it is the corporation’s intention to remove the existing communication equipment off of the roof of the high school and move it to the water tower.

At a recent Culver Town Council meeting, Town Manager Jonathan Leist noted that the town recently entered into a lease agreement with an internet company, but said it could be modified to spell out each entity’s insurance obligation, the length of time the equipment would stay on the tower, what equipment would be there, and what would happen if the equipment had to be moved.

There would be no rent charged for a two-year lease with the school.

The Culver Community School Board members unanimously approved the lease agreement with the Town of Culver.
