Culver Town Manager Jonathan Leist was before the Marshall County Commissioners last week to notify them of an annexation petition on five contiguous parcels totaling 71 acres at 17664 State Road 17 and 19456 State Road 10 in Culver owned by Thomas Beste. A rezoning request for a proposed Planned Unit Development (PUD) project is also up for consideration.
Leist explained that the town is required to seek permission from the county commissioners to move forward with the annexation request for the town council’s consideration.
The commissioners did approve the annexation request for the town council’s consideration with a unanimous vote.
A public hearing is set on both proposals during the Culver Town Council meeting on Tuesday, March 13 at 6:30 p.m. at the Culver Town Hall.
