Road conditions are being blamed for a motorcycle crash near Plymouth Friday morning. Marshall County Police say that around 10:20 a.m., Enrique Cook, 34, of Hammond, was trying to merge onto southbound U.S. 31 from U.S. 30. Officers believe the 2018 Harley Davidson lost traction and ran off the roadway.

ISP Releases Investigation Information from Fatal Crash Involving School Bus
Following several hours of investigation, the Indiana State Police have released additional information that can be added to the claim settlement which is about the fatal accident involving an Eastern Pulaski Community School bus that occurred on U.S. 31 Wednesday morning. The collision reportedly claimed the life of a teenage boy.
At the time of the crash, the bus was occupied by 38 eighth grade students and three chaperones that were on the way to see a Christmas musical in Warsaw. Continue reading
Eastern Pulaski Community School Bus Involved in Marshall County Crash
Marshall County Coroner John Grolich has confirmed that an accident between a semi and an Eastern Pulaski Community School Bus resulted in one fatality Wednesday morning (12/5). The collision occurred between 13th and 14th Roads on U.S. 31 near Argos.
Additionally, an injured student was airlifted and flown to a hospital in South Bend, according to a social media post shared by ISP Public Information Officer Sergeant Ted Bohner. Continue reading

North Judson Resident Dies from Injuries, Following Marshall County Crash
A crash on U.S. 31 in Marshall County earlier this month has claimed a third life. Myles M. Brewer, 24, of North Judson has died from injuries sustained in the March 9 crash, according to the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department. Police say they received word of the death Monday evening.
South Bend Man Arrested, Following Plymouth Car Chase
A vehicle pursuit in Plymouth Thursday night reportedly ended with the arrest of a South Bend man on meth-related charges. Around 10:43 p.m., Plymouth Police say they tried to pull over a red passenger for an equipment violation. But instead of stopping, the driver allegedly sped away, leading police on a pursuit toward the south side of Plymouth.
INDOT Road Projects Moving Along
The U.S 31 and State Road 17 projects in Marshall County are moving along.
According to Northwest INDOT Media Relations Director Doug Moats, work on State Road 17 south is nearly complete. Crews are bump grinding sections of the road for smoothness. Painting of pavement markings and striping should be done in the next two weeks.
J-Turn Intersection Draws Concerns from Argos Residents, Elected Officials
A proposal to add J-turn intersections to U.S. 31 drew an overflow crowd to the Argos Town Hall Tuesday. Officials with the Indiana Department of Transportation say that adding J-turn intersections at State Road 10 and State Road 110 would significantly improve safety.
Plymouth Hopes to Benefit from Potential Transportation Upgrades

Authorities Crack Down on Drug Smuggling
A recent three-day saturation patrol on U.S. 31 by six police departments in north central Indiana resulted in 30 criminal arrests on 82 different drug-related charges. Last week’s unannounced patrols were dubbed “Operation Blue Wave.” Officials say the goal was to catch and arrest people who use Indiana’s roadways to transport and distribute illegal narcotics.
