After 10 years of dedicated service to the Triton School Board, Amy Middaugh will be stepping down from her position as the Bourbon Township representative.

Triton School Board Receives Presentation Over the National FFA Convention
Students in the Triton FFA provided school board members with a presentation last week about their trip to the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis.

Triton Auxiliary Gym Project Expected to be Complete in January
With the new Triton Auxiliary Gym completely erected and enclosed, all of the remaining work that needs to be done is inside the building.

Triton School Board Adopts 2019 Budget, Approves Associated Resolutions
The 2019 Budget for Triton Community Schools was adopted when school board members met on Monday.
Superintendent Jeremy Riffle noted that in addition to adopting the budget, school board members passed a resolution that would allow him and the school business manager to adjust the funds as necessary. They also approved resolutions that establish two new funds related to the recent state-wide change to school funding structures. Continue reading

Triton School Corporation Sees Increase in Enrollment
Enrollment numbers are up at Triton Community Schools. Superintendent Jeremy Riffle shared there are more than 20 new students attending Triton according to this year’s average daily membership count.
Riffle said that while the ADM is a bit subjective because it only provides a snapshot of one day, school officials are still excited about the increase. He said it’s especially encouraging since there’s been a projection floating around that low birthrates would affect school enrollment numbers. Continue reading
Painting by Triton Graduate Displayed in Mental Health Showcase, School Earns Stipend of Over $1,000
The art program at Triton Junior/Senior High School recently received a boost in funding after former senior student’s painting was selected to be displayed in a showcase entitled “Your Mental Health Matters.”
Not only was Triton graduate Montana Golden able to raise awareness and reduce the stigma surrounding mental illness with her artwork, she received a recognition award and helped earn her school a stipend of more than $1,100. Continue reading

The Triton School Board handled some administrative matters when members met on Monday.

Triton Superintendent Reports Slight Increase in Enrollment, Provides Project Update
There are some additional students attending the Triton Community School Corporation this school year, according to Superintendent Jeremy Riffle. Riffle said compared to last year’s average daily membership (ADM) count, there are 20 more students enrolled at Triton for the 2018-19 school year.
Superintendent Riffle also mentioned that the ongoing projects happening at Triton are either on track or ahead of schedule. Continue reading

Triton Superintendent Shares that Auxiliary Gym Project is Ahead of Schedule, Other Bond Projects Moving Along as Planned
The ongoing bond projects at the Triton Community School Corporation are all on track to be finished up by their estimated completion dates.
As a reminder, the bond projects include the construction of a new auxiliary gym, renovations to the roof at the Jr./Sr. High School and the installation of a new HVAC system at the Elementary School. Superintendent JeremyRiffle mentioned that the auxiliary gym project is moving along even faster than originally planned. Continue reading
Your Child Has a Chance to be One of the First Students to Attend Triton’s Preschool Program!
Local parents still have a chance to register for the all-day preschool program being offered at Triton Elementary School this coming school year.
Superintendent Jeremy Riffle noted that there was a nice turn out at the Parent Information night that was held at the end of June. He explained, “We did have the informational night and there were probably 30 parents in attendance. So by the time they lef,t there were six who were already registered.”
Riffle said the cap for the class is twenty students and ten children were registered as of Wednesday afternoon so interested parents need to act fast. Continue reading
Over $2,800 Raised for Triton Community Schools at Drive-4-Ur-School Event
Officials at Triton Community School Corporation recently extended their gratitude to Auto Park Ford in Bremen for their assistance with a Drive-4-Ur-School event over Memorial Day weekend.
At Drive-4-Ur-School events, people are able to test drive a car on the lot as long as they contribute a donation to the cause. Altogether, the fundraiser raised more than $2,800 for Triton Community Schools. Continue reading
