Triton Superintendent Shares that Auxiliary Gym Project is Ahead of Schedule, Other Bond Projects Moving Along as Planned

The ongoing bond projects at the Triton Community School Corporation are all on track to be finished up by their estimated completion dates.

As a reminder, the bond projects include the construction of a new auxiliary gym, renovations to the roof at the Jr./Sr. High School and the installation of a new HVAC system at the Elementary School. Your Child Has a Chance to be One of the First Students to Attend Triton’s Preschool Program!

Local parents still have a chance to register for the all-day preschool program being offered at Triton Elementary School this coming school year.

Superintendent Jeremy Riffle noted that there was a nice turn out at the Parent Information night that was held at the end of June. He explained, “We did have the informational night and there were probably 30 parents in attendance. So by the time they lef,t there were six who were already registered.”

Riffle said the cap for the class is twenty students and ten children were registered as of Wednesday afternoon so interested parents need to act fast. Continue reading

Parents Can Learn More About the Triton Pre-School Program Next Week

This coming Thursday, Marshall County parents are invited to attend an informational meeting about the Triton Elementary School Pre-School Program.

The Parent Information Night will be held June 21st at 6:30 p.m. in the Triton Elementary School cafeteria.

This meeting is intended provide parents with more details about the full-day pre-school that will be offered at Triton in the 2018-2019 school year. Continue reading

Triton Students Pitch in to Help Feed Hungry Kids Around the World

Several Triton students recently participated in a philanthropic endeavor to help bring food to disadvantaged kids and families around the world.

Superintendent Donna Burroughs said that a group of fifth and sixth-grade students ventured to Nappanee to assist in the Feed My Starving Children service learning project. She said they were accompanied by members of the Jr./Sr. High girls’ basketball team who chipped in and also served as chaperones for the younger students.

During their two hour visit, the students were able to help make 66,000 meals to feed more than 165 children in various underprivileged nations who receive assistance through this program. Continue reading
