City of Plymouth to Implement Flood Control with Detention Pond at Corner of Garro St. and Plum St., Pretty Lake Conservancy Expanded to Include Condominiums

Utilities Superintendent Donnie Davidson presented a proposal for a flood control solution to the Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety for the corner of Garro St. and Plum St. This lot is where the old Eagles Building sits; and is across from the Marshall County Neighborhood Center. Davidson said, “Historically that area has received a lot of flooding. Recently it caused major damage mainly to the Neighborhood Center.”

Utilities Superintendent Updates Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety on Solar Project

PLYMOUTH — Plymouth Utilities Superintendent Donnie Davidson provided a Solar Project at the Wastewater Treatment Facility update to the Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety – “We are producing electricity.” There were certain times when the solar unit was producing more energy than the facility was consuming. There was a small issue with fuses in one portion of it; which will be rectified by the manufacturer. Nonetheless, the unit is working well. “Everything is looking good. We’ve had some beautiful days to test it out. So far so good.”

Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety Hears Update on Solar Project, Approves Change Order

PLYMOUTH — Utilities Superintendent Donnie Davidson updated the Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety (PBPWS) on the Solar Project at the Wastewater Treatment Facility; 90% of the framework and panels have been installed. The underground conduits should be complete prior to the end of this week successfully beating frozen ground. According to Davidson the team will start stringing wires next week. “The potential start up for the project at this point appears to be late or mid-to-late January. We are trying to coordinate that with NIPSCO and also the other two school projects that are going on.”
