Many staff members and students from Plymouth High School will be volunteering their time to help park vehicles during the 52nd Annual Marshall County Blueberry Festival. Plymouth Schools Marketing Director Judi Lykowski shared that the activity serves as a huge fundraiser for various clubs that the students participate in.
The organizations that will benefit include the speech and debate club, the local chapter of the AFS International Program, the Chinese and Spanish clubs, the band and choir, the acting club and stage crew, the robotics club, the yearbook and the prom committee. Continue reading

Plymouth Council to Revisit 2017 Salary Ordinance
The Plymouth Common Council will begin another attempt at passing a 2017 salary ordinance when it meets this evening. Back in August, the council narrowly rejected a salary ordinance on second reading, amid concerns about some changes made to the document since the time of its first reading. Memorial Forest Entrance Due for Eagle Scout Upgrades
Veteran’s Memorial Forest in Marshall County will be getting a bit of a facelift in the near future.
During Monday morning’s Marshall County Commissioner’s meeting, it was proposed to clean-up the entrance of the forest off of 14th Road and develop a parking space for visitors. It’s part of an Eagle Scout project being undertaken by Daniel Stauffer from Troupe 257.
Plymouth Parking Ban Questioned
The City of Plymouth is rethinking its parking restrictions, after complaints from a local resident. Last month, the Board of Works approved the installation of “No Parking” signs on Harrison Street, from Michigan Street halfway to Center Street, in an effort to ease traffic. Continue reading

Downtown Plymouth Parking Comes Under Greater Scrutiny
The Plymouth Board of Works could soon be considering enforcement changes to downtown parking.
A local merchant lodged complaints with the Plymouth Police Department on several occasions, but due to what the business owner considered lacking responses, he took the matter up with the Board of Works.
