Marshall County Educators Looking to Follow Up with Legislators after ‘Red for Ed’ Rally

Several teachers were among those in attendance at Tuesday’s Plymouth School Board meeting.

Last month’s “Red for Ed” rally was just the starting point when it comes to discussions between educators and legislators. The Plymouth School Board Tuesday heard from a few of the 82 Plymouth teachers who attended last month’s event at the Statehouse.

Plymouth School Board Recognizes Dance Marathon Participants, Retiring Staff Members

Plymouth High School students raised more than $44,500 for Riley Children’s Hospital during this year’s Dance Marathon. That’s more than $4,500 over this year’s goal. The Dance Marathon participants were congratulated during Tuesday’s school board meeting by Board President Todd Samuelson, who noted how much the event has grown over the years.

Plymouth Music Teacher Remembered Fondly

Fellow teachers, former students and friends paid their respects to longtime Plymouth Schools music teacher Bob Pickell during a remembrance service last night in the high school auditorium. The recent retiree died last Friday at a South Bend hospital after falling through onto a cement floor at his Plymouth home. Continue reading
