Plymouth School Board Recognizes Dance Marathon Participants, Retiring Staff Members

Plymouth High School students raised more than $44,500 for Riley Children’s Hospital during this year’s Dance Marathon. That’s more than $4,500 over this year’s goal. The Dance Marathon participants were congratulated during Tuesday’s school board meeting by Board President Todd Samuelson, who noted how much the event has grown over the years.

In other business, board members recognized three staff members who are retiring at the end of the school year. The school board formally accepted the retirements of High School Guidance Counselor John Fishback, Riverside Intermediate School Title I Interventionist Sharon Scott, and Director of Transportation Brenda Uceny. Board Member Larry Pinkerton noted that they touched the lives of many kids and thanked them for their dedication and contributions to Plymouth Schools.
