
The last of the original owners of Kankakee Valley Broadcasting has passed away. LeRoy Gudeman died at his Knox home Wednesday at the age of 95. He was part of the group that launched WKVI-FM in 1969 and continued to serve on Kankakee Valley Broadcasting’s board of directors until 2018. Along the way, he also saw the start of WKVI AM in 1970 and WYMR in 2015.

Kankakee Valley Broadcasting is teaming up with Elite Travel for another exciting chartered bus trip. This time the destination is the nation’s capitol. The bus will leave on June 4th and return on the 8th.
There are still a few spaces available for the Kankakee Valley Broadcasting chartered bus trip to the Creation Museum and Ark Encounter in northern Kentucky. The deluxe Royal Excursion motorcoach will depart from the WKVI studios in Knox on Tuesday, Feb. 21 at 9 a.m. and return on the 23rd around 9 p.m.

Get a head start on your holiday shopping at the Mall of America. Kankakee Valley Broadcasting is hosting a chartered bus trip to Bloomington, Minn. Nov. 4-6. The bus will leave the WKVI studios in Knox at 9:30 a.m. CDT on Friday and return around 10 p.m. Sunday.
