One New Case of COVID-19 Reported Locally

One new case of COVID-19 was reported in Starke County, according to Monday’s report from the Indiana Department of Health.  There were no new cases in Marshall County or in Pulaski County in that update, but it noted 275 new cases in the state.

There were 10 new COVID-19 cases reported in the tri-county area in the Indiana Department of Health’s daily update Thursday.  Five of those cases were in Marshall County, two in Starke County and three in Pulaski County.  Overall, there were 418 new cases in the state.

Indiana Department of Health Updates County Metrics Map

Marshall County and Pulaski County are in the blue status this week on the state’s County Metrics Map which indicates a low community spread of COVID-19.  Starke County is in the yellow status which means a moderate community spread of COVID-19.

Two more people have died of COVID-19 in Marshall County, according to Tuesday’s report from the Indiana Department of Health.  There have been 116 COVID-19 deaths in Marshall County since April 2020.

Two More COVID-19 Cases Reported in Marshall County

A few more COVID-19 cases were reported in Starke and Marshall counties Sunday. The Indiana Department of Health says Starke County had one more case, bringing the total to 2,251 since the pandemic began. Marshall County had two more cases, for a new total of 6,185. Pulaski County’s total remains at 1,187.

Another five COVID-19 cases have been reported in Starke County, according to Friday’s update from the Indiana Department of Health. Marshall and Pulaski counties each had four new cases. The state as a whole reported 571 new cases and 13 more deaths.

Marshall County and Starke County remain in the yellow status and Pulaski County remains in the blue status on the state’s County Metrics Map which measures community spread of COVID-19.  The yellow status indicates a moderate spread of COVID-19 while the blue status measures a low spread of COVID-19.

Friday’s report from the Indiana Department of Health showed 801 additional people in the state who have tested positive with COVID-19, which includes 11 people in Marshall County and four people in Starke County.  There were no new cases of COVID-19 in Pulaski County.
