The Plymouth Common Council heard Ordinance No. 2024-2228 An Ordinance to Amend the Code of Ordinances of the City of Plymouth Concerning Use of Golf Carts on Streets and Alleys on first read. The ordinance, if passed, will take full effect on January 1, 2025 which will include a registration requirement, fees for violations including impounding the vehicle on the fourth offense, and a 36 inch or taller height restriction that applies to passengers. Adult passengers will also not be allowed to hold passengers in their laps; all passengers must be seated.
