The administration and staff members at the Culver Community School Corporation are ready to welcome students for the 2017-2018 school year.
Registration for students in kindergarten through 12th grade is Tuesday, July 18 from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Wednesday, July 19 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. ET at the Middle/High School Media Center. Parents may pre-register online now by using the Harmony account. An application for free and reduced-price lunches may be completed during online registration, although paper applications will be available during registration. Income verification is required. Registration for the upcoming school year is taking place this week at the Culver Community Schools Corporation. Registration for kindergarten through high school will be held this Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Thursday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Middle/High School Media Center.
The Culver Community School Corporation is taking part in the USDA’s Summer Food Service Program. Free meals will be available to all children ages 18 and younger and to adults who are enrolled in a state-approved education program for the mentally or physically disabled.
Students at a couple of area corporations are in class today to make up for days missed due to weather. This was an optional day for both Culver Community and North Judson-San Pierre Schools based on the calendars adopted for the 2015-16 school year. Both ended up using today as a make-up due to inclement weather.
Culver Elementary School’s Kindergarten Round Up will take place Thursday, March 10th at 6 p.m. EST in the cafeteria.
School corporations in Marshall County are making the grade, according to the A through F accountability standards approved today by the State Board of Education. The scores reflect changes fast-tracked through the Indiana General Assembly to hold corporations harmless due to last year’s significant drop in ISTEP+ scores.
