Plymouth Common Council discussed MACOG Comprehensive Plan Proposal

PLYMOUTH — City of Plymouth Attorney Sean Surrisi discussed the Michiana Area Council of Governments (MACOG) Comprehensive Plan Proposal with the City of Plymouth Common Council noting that the current plan is nine years old. “General guidance is that it should be reviewed for updates every five years and totally redone every ten years.”

Plymouth City Council Considers REES Theater Project Addition

The Plymouth City Council members considered a resolution Monday night to add the REES Theater project to the list of Plymouth Redevelopment Commission projects.

By adding the theater to the redevelopment commission’s list, a donation request of $575,000 over the course of two to four years to be funded out of TIF #1 could be financially researched by Umbaugh and Associates. The funding request would need to be approved by the redevelopment commission.

The Town of Argos hopes to fix dilapidated buildings, promote active transportation, and revitalize its downtown, all while maintaining its small-town values over the next decade. The town is putting the finishing touches on its 2030 Comprehensive Plan. Culver Finalizing Goals for Coming Years

The Town of Culver is finalizing its five-year action plan.

The document will be included in the Town’s Comprehensive plan and specifies major projects the Town would like to undertake over the next few years. A joint group, consisting of the Town Council, Plan Commission, and Redevelopment Commission has been meeting on a regular basis to develop the goals.
