Bremen School Board Increases Pay for Substitute Teachers

Bremen Public Schools is increasing pay for substitute teachers. The school board last week agreed to pay subs $100 per day, according to Superintendent Dr. Jim White. “I think in the fall, we’re going to have a really difficult time attracting and keeping subs, and I think it’s worth a little bit of battle pay,” White says.

Bremen Public Schools Finalizing Reopening Plans

Bremen Public Schools students will be required to wear face masks but just for short periods of time. “If you’re going to ride a bus, you’re going to wear a mask, and then when the students are in common areas, they need face coverings, as well,” explains Superintendent Dr. Jim White. “Once they get to their classrooms, they can take them off.”
