BREMEN—The Bremen Town Council received recommendations from Director of Operations, Trend Weldy, regarding recommended appointments for various roles in town government with the intent of voting on it at their Dec. 22 meeting. Almost all of the recommendations were approved without discussion. However, one person, Jeff Byrd, was not appointed to the Park Board after nine-plus years in service on the board.

BREMEN—After over two years of discussions between the park department, town council, and school, Bremen is beginning to finalize their plan to renovate the aquatic facility in the park. Since the park pool has been part of the Bremen tradition for well over half a century, this has been a point of passionate debate since the subject was first brought to the table in 2019 after the pool received superstructure damage during the 2018 flood.

During the Jan. 24 Bremen Town Council meeting, an ordinance was passed that created a fund for the park pool and aquatic facility. Those two are part of the Stellar Grant application from 2020. The ordinance was passed unanimously.
