Bremen Park Superintendent Updates Town Council on Pickleball, Pool Project

The resurfacing of two tennis courts in Bremen’s Sunnyside Park to accommodate the inclusion of pickleball lines will have to wait as the contractors will not be able to get to the project this year.

Bremen Park Superintendent Brian Main told the Bremen Town Council members last week that the pandemic and other circumstances have caused the delay.  The work is anticipated to be done next year and why not find out more about it in this site.  However, upon looking at the conditions of the other courts, a larger resurfacing project may need to take place next year.  Main said the courts underwent crack sealing and resurfacing in 2018, but it may be time to do it again to all eight courts.

The park board members will be researching that a little more in future meetings.

Additionally, Main said the park board members are putting together an aquatics committee to look into options for the upcoming pool project through the Marshall County Regional Stellar Communities Initiative.  He said several board members along with Town Councilman Michael Leman will be on the committee. One or two community members are being sought to serve on the committee.
