Rapid Response Grants Awarded to Marshall County Organizations

United Way of Marshall County, in partnership with the Marshall County Community Foundation, has awarded over $100,000 to local organizations in the past two months that help provide food, housing and utility assistance to households impacted by COVID-19.  Representatives are also working with businesses, educators, faith-based and disaster relief organizations, nonprofits, and volunteers to address immediate and urgent needs.

Marshall County Community Foundation Assists Several Local Organizations with More than $96,000 in Grant Funding

The Marshall County Community Foundation held an awards presentation in Plymouth on Wednesday where recipients for the second round of 2018 Community Fund grants were announced.

Executive Director for Boys and Girls Club Resigns, Board of Directors Seek Replacement

The Board of Directors for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Marshall County announced that they are searching for a new executive director, following the resignation of Billie Treber.

In a press release, officials said that Treber made the personal decision to pursue the next chapter in her career and that the board sincerely hopes she achieves that perfect work-life balance.

Treber played a critical role in the development and success of the organization and was thanked for her dedication and passion that she’s shown to the youth of Marshall County during her 17-year tenure. Continue reading

Plymouth Council to Consider Incentives for Pretzels Inc.

Incentives for a snack producer moving into the Marshall County Shell Building will be considered this evening by the Plymouth Common Council. Pretzels Inc. announced plans last week to spend $15 million to purchase and equip the building near Pioneer Drive and U.S. 30, creating 65 new jobs in the process.  Continue reading
