Public Hearing Scheduled this Morning for Faulkner Fabricating Tax Abatement

marshall-councilThe Marshall County Council will consider moving ahead with a tax abatement request from Faulkner Fabricating. Last month, the council designated the site of the facility an Economic Revitalization Area. This morning, a public hearing will be held, before the council decides whether to finalize the abatement request.

If approved, it would be the second tax abatement received by Faulkner Fabricating in just over a year. The company says faster-than-anticipated growth has led to the need for more space and equipment.

In other business, Marshall County Prosecutor Nelson Chipman is scheduled to discuss a couple grant requests with council members. Additionally, the Boys & Girls Club of Marshall County will discuss its building campaign. The $1.9 million project to replace much of its Plymouth facility with a larger one has already received $500,000 from the City of Plymouth. During this morning’s Marshall County Council meeting, members will also consider an additional appropriation request from Argos Community Schools.

The meeting starts at 9:00 a.m. in the Marshall County Building.
