Bourbon Town Council Discusses Police Department Vehicles

Bourbon Town Council members received an update on the Police Department’s new vehicle and held a discussion over what to do with an old one when members met for their May meeting.

Police Chief Bill Martin informed members that the new police cruiser should be ready by the middle of June, according to draft minutes provided by Clerk-Treasurer Kim Berger. The chief also asked council members what they thought should be done with the existing Charger. Continue reading

Bourbon Town Council Approves Bid for Community Crossings Projects

The certified bid tabulation for Bourbon’s Community Crossings Grant was presented at last Tuesday’s town council meeting.

Joshua Padgett from the architecture and engineering firm Jones, Petrie, Rafinksi presented four bids to council members. The bids came from the companies Phend & Brown Inc, E&B Paving, Rieth-Riley Construction and Niblock Excavating. Continue reading
