Bourbon Town Council Approves Bid for Community Crossings Projects

The certified bid tabulation for Bourbon’s Community Crossings Grant was presented at last Tuesday’s town council meeting.

Joshua Padgett from the architecture and engineering firm Jones, Petrie, Rafinksi presented four bids to council members. The bids came from the companies Phend & Brown Inc, E&B Paving, Rieth-Riley Construction and Niblock Excavating.

Padgett listed all the Bourbon roadways that will undergo some work through the grant, “They’re doing Elm Road, Maplewood Avenue, Greet Street, Bourbon Street, Thompson Street, Virginia Street, Washington Street, Harris Street, Pine Street, Lincoln Street, Shafer Road and Rose Lane.”

According to Clerk-Treasurer Kim Berger’s draft minutes, the bid was awarded to Niblock Excavating in the amount of $294,600.

Padgett informed the council that he will be putting together the contracts and they will be ready to present at the next meeting on March 13th.
