A proposal from the internet service provider Hyper Wave Technologies was presented during Tuesday night’s Bourbon Town Council meeting.
Clerk-Treasurer Kimberly Berger said representatives submitted a request for equipment installation. Berger explained, “They asked the council about putting equipment up on our water tower to offer wireless internet service to the people in town and out in our township.”
Council members agreed to the proposal, pending the town attorney’s decision once he reviews the contract and procedures. Continue reading



The certified bid tabulation for Bourbon’s Community Crossings Grant was presented at last Tuesday’s town council meeting.
Bourbon Fire Chief Mike Chapman informed town council members that firefighters recently went to a public auction for the Osecola Fire Department where they were able to obtain some supplies at a significantly reduced price.
Bourbon Town council members were expecting to open Community Crossings bids when they met Tuesday night. However, according to Clerk-Treasurer Kimberly Berger, the bids were not available due to a miscommunication.
One perk to the sun setting sooner around this time of year is having more time to appreciate the decorations and lights that people put up in their yards and on their houses.
Triton Jr./Sr. High School Special Education teachers Michelle Waymouth and Sarrah Davis recently organized a fundraiser to collect donations for the Plymouth Veterinary Clinic dog therapy program. Dogs in the program visit Triton on a regular basis to aid and comfort students in need.
