Street in Bourbon to Be Renamed ‘Wagner Way’ in Memory of Town Attorney Mark Wagner

A street in Bourbon will be officially renamed Wagner Way, in honor of Bourbon’s town attorney Mark Wagner who recently passed away.

Tuesday night, council members voted unanimously to dedicate the street to their good friend and dedicated legal representative.

According to draft minutes provided by Clerk-Treasurer Kim Berger, Council President Les McFarland, and council members Larry Wattenbarger and P.J. Hanley took some time to offer words of kindness and gratitude in memory of Mark. She added that his dedication to the town was outstanding and that Bourbon was blessed to have Wagner as their attorney for so many years. Clerk-Treasurer Berger also commented on who will be filling in as the Bourbon Town Attorney for the time being.

She said, “His son Tony Wagner Tony Wagner works in his firm with him so Tony right now is going to take his dad’s spot as our town attorney.”

Town officials plan to hold a ceremony in Mark’s honor at a later date.
