Handicap Parking Space Requested In Front of Main Street Business in Bourbon

A request to add a handicap parking space on Main Street was considered when Bourbon Town Council members met earlier this month.

During the meeting, Clerk-Treasurer Kim Berger brought up a question submitted by business owner Terry Clemens who was unable to attend. Clemens inquired about adding a handicap parking space to the area in front of 107 S Main Street.

In his request, Clemens stated that the curbing directly in front of his business is very high and he feels a handicap space would benefit elderly patrons.

In her draft minutes, Berger noted that there is currently no handicap parking in the 100 block of South Main Street. The council decided to table the request until the next meeting to allow for additional information to be gathered.
