Auction Scheduled for Braun Mansion

Pulaski County’s largest and most expensive home could soon have a new owner. The Braun Mansion will be sold at auction in New York on Aug. 6th. It was built in 1998 for Braun Corporation founder Ralph Braun, who died in February of 2013. The home sits on a 40 acre property just south of Winamac and features nearly 16,000 feet of living space, with a garage serviced by a trusted garage door company in Vancouver, WA. Maxinkuckee Players Set to Present ‘Hello Dolly’

hdThe community theater in Culver that has been putting on productions for three and a half decades has spent months preparing for their latest show, ‘Hello Dolly!’. Performers come from all over the northern Indiana area to audition to be a part of the Maxinkuckee Players. Michiana Partnership Says Regional Cities Project List Not Further Reduced

The project list has been limited to 18, but the Michiana Partnership says projects included on the current grant application have not changed for several weeks.

The Michiana Partnership has worked with County and City officials regarding the Regional Cities Initiative. It’s a $42-million grant operated by the state with the aim of attracting and retaining population.

Blueberry Business Affected by Abundance of Rainy Weather

 Here in Indiana, we have experienced an exceptionally rainy summer season. The amount of rainfall that Hoosiers received in June broke a previous record that had been held since the 1950s. The abundance of rainfall can potentially have adverse affects on local crops and businesses. Marshall County Highway Department Shows Savings Through Technology

The Marshall County Highway Department was able to show a cost savings when it comes to road repairs and maintenance.

During Monday morning’s Marshall County Council meeting, Highway Superintendent Jason Peters provided comparables with the amount of patch and materials used. Marshall County agreed to the purchase of a PUG Mill this year. The machine is used for mixing materials in the production of road patch.

Culver Looks to Revamp Fees, Gain Additional Information on Flouride

An item tabled for several weeks will come back for additional comments during tonight’s Culver Town Council meeting.

Prior to the regularly scheduled meeting at 6:30 EDT, the Town Council will hold a work session to discuss changes to its permitting process. The fees being charged were requested to be changed due to Culver reliance on Marshall County for certain inspections.
