One Seriously Injured in Monday Night Crash

The Marshall County Sheriff’s Department says the driver of a motorcycle was ejected following a crash near Argos on Monday night.

Authorities from the Argos Police, Fire, & EMS Departments responded to the area of State Road 10 and Linden Road around 9:30 p.m. EDT. That’s when investigators believe that the motorcycle, driven by 43-year-old James Shay III, was traveling eastbound on State Road 10 with the intent of making a turn North onto Linden Road.

A car being driven by 67-year-old Thomas Crosby was traveling in the opposite direction on State Road 10. The two vehicles allegedly struck each other during the turn.

Shay sustained serious injuries during the incident and was transported to South Bend Memorial Hospital. Crosby and a passenger only sustained minor injuries.
