Marshall County Sheriff’s Department Dispatcher Morgan Hite was recently awarded the stork award for her efforts in aiding a pregnant woman to give birth before emergency responders were able to arrive to the scene.

Plymouth Redevelopment Commission to Meet Today

The Plymouth Redevelopment Commission members will discuss the proposed Veterans Parkway extension project when they meet tonight.  The project would extend a roadway from Michigan Road to Pioneer Drive (or Pine Road) on the north side of Plymouth.  The members are anticipated to consider an authorization for Baker Tilly to prepare a feasibility analysis for TIF 1 and for TIF 3.

John Glenn School Board to Meet Tonight

The John Glenn School Board members will hear from Superintendent Christopher Winchell concerning updates on several ongoing projects at the school corporation when they meet tonight.  He may give an update on the progress of the expansion of head start classes at the St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, the fuel project in partnership with the Town of Walkerton, and building projects at Urey Middle School.

Bourbon Sport Court Surpasses Crowdfunding Goal, Receives State Grant

The Bourbon Sport Court crowdfunding campaign has reached its $30,000 goal, unlocking a match from the state. “I am quite excited to say that we raised $32,065,” Town Council President Ward Byers announced during last week’s meeting, “and we will be receiving the match of $30,000 from the State of Indiana.”
