Plymouth Police Department Makes Several Arrests

Officers from the Plymouth Police Department recently made several arrests.

A Plymouth man was arrested for OWI on Saturday, June 10.  At 12:22 a.m. ET, Plymouth Police conducted a traffic stop in the area of Lincoln and Nursery Street after observing a vehicle reportedly disregard three separate stop signs.  During the stop, it was determined that the driver, Rafael Quintana-Romero, 31, of Plymouth was intoxicated. He was taken to the Marshall County Jail.

In a separate incident, police made an arrest of a Florida man for public intoxication/minor consuming.  Officers responded to the area of Homestead Apartments off of Skylane Drive Saturday, June 10 around 6:30 a.m. ET after receiving reports of a suspicious person knocking on windows and doors. Kevin Murillo-Valle, 18, of Fort Lauderdale was taken to the Marshall County Jail.

Plymouth Police were called to the area of South Plum and Schuyler Street for a fight in progress Saturday, June 10 just before midnight.  The officer found that Joaquin Matos, 40, of Plymouth was allegedly involved in an altercation with a juvenile at the Knights of Columbus earlier in the evening. He was taken into custody on charges of battery resulting in bodily injury and strangulation.

Additionally, officers made an arrest at the Economy Inn on Sunday, June 11 at 7:19 p.m. ET.  Police were made aware that Paul A. Howard, 48, of Plymouth was in violation of a protective order. He was arrested and taken to the Marshall County Jail on a charge of invasion of privacy.

A Valparaiso man is in custody on a charge of theft. Plymouth officers were called to Murphy USA on Oak Road for a failure to pay for fuel.  The vehicle, a green Chevrolet Blazer with Ohio plates, had left going eastbound on U.S. 30. Ralph E. Dunston was taken into custody and taken to the Marshall County Jail.

Formal charges will be determined by the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office.

Suspects are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court of law.
