The Marshall County Commissioners opened bids Monday morning for the Community Crossings and additional paving projects.
The county was awarded $1 million in INDOT’s Community Crossings Matching Grant program with match from the county.
The Community Crossings projects include 10B from State Road 17 to County Line Road, Plymouth-Goshen Trail from City Limits to U.S. 30, and Queen Road from U.S. 30 to 6th Road. Rieth-Riley Construction Company bid a total of $1,478,936 for all projects, E&B Paving bid a total of $1,656,870.48 for all projects, and Milestone Contractors North bid a total of $1,546,733.23.
The additional paving projects include 13th from Peach to Olive Trail, 9th from Pioneer to Union, King Road from 12B to south of 11th Road, and Muckshaw from 14th to State Road 10. Rieth-Riley Construction Company bid a total of $2,766,281 for all projects, E&B Paving bid a total of $2,779,255.16 for all projects, and Milestone Contractors North bid a total of $2,635,097.03.

The commissioners agreed to take the bids under advisement. They will be reviewed by Marshall County Highway Superintendent Jason Peters with a possible recommendation for approval at the next meeting.
