MARSHALL COUNTY — City of Plymouth Attorney Sean Surrisi updated the Plymouth Common Council on Stellar Communities progress during the regular meeting Monday.

Troyer Group is under contract for preliminary engineering for Greenways Trail Phase III. That documentation has been sent to the state for approval of that agreement.

Meanwhile the team is awaiting to hear on the construction schedule for River Park Square Phase II. Surrisi anticipates that to move forward within the next month or two.

The Rees Theater, in cooperation with the Plymouth Redevelopment Commission, will be applying for a Civic Center Alcoholic Beverage Permit.

Surrisi turned the floor over to Kevin Berger of Easterday Construction to update the council on housing project progress. Berger invited the council to the groundbreaking ceremony for LaPaz Commons on Monday, May 2 at 11 a.m. at 67 Troyer Street, Lapaz which is located at the southeast corner of Troyer St. and South Michigan St. “A lot of you were good enough to come to the one in Plymouth. Lapaz came down to yours so if any of you can come up it would be nice to support them. This is the first new housing in Lapaz I think in decades so they are pretty excited about it.”

The Marshall County Crossroads Stellar Communities Project was made possible through the Office of Community and Rural Affairs (OCRA) in partnership with the Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority (IHCDA).
