The Marshall County Commissioners will soon review information on district lines and later approve an ordinance establishing commissioner and council districts in the county.
Auditor Julie Fox noted that the process is done every 10 years. A study will be done on the population, with help of the census, to determine an equal number of residents per district. There needs to be balance in each district, according to Fox.
County Attorney Jim Clevenger said an ordinance establishing those lines must be in place by December 31, 2021.
