Triton School Board Approves Donations, Purchase of New Chromebooks

The Triton School Board members recently accepted donations to help various organizations within the Triton School Corporation.

Superintendent Jeremy Riffle said a $500 gift and a $10,000 gift were given to the corporation that will be used toward student success and organizations.

Additionally, the board approved the purchase of 225 Chromebooks that are replacements for three grade levels at a cost of about $72,000.

The board also approved the revival of the Trojan Singers show choir.  Riffle said a teacher will lead the group and there is an interest from students to bring back that program.  An extra-curricular contract was signed following the approval of the Trojan Singers.

Riffle also noted that they are beginning the process of meeting with architects and financial experts to find the best solutions to build and pay for secure entrances at the Triton Junior/Senior High School and Triton Elementary School.  More information will be brought before the board in upcoming meetings.
