The Marshall County Commissioners made annual appointments during their first meeting of the year Monday.
The commissioners chose not to reappoint Chuck DeWitt as Marshall County Building Commissioner. The commissioners will soon post the job opening and conduct interviews for a new building commissioner.
DeWitt contracted services with the county and with the Town of Argos and the Town of Culver. The contracts with the municipal entities will be reviewed in the next few weeks to find a solution that works for all involved. The Town of Bourbon will also discuss a potential contract with DeWitt during their meeting next week.
All other department heads were reappointed including Buildings and Grounds Maintenance Supervisor Doug Masterson, Jail Maintenance Supervisor John Greer, Museum Director Linda Rippy, Weights and Measures Director Jerry Huss, Highway Superintendent Jason Peters, Veterans Service Officer Pam Schweizer-Betz, Emergency Management Agency Director Clyde Avery, IT Director Michael Marshall, Human Resources Administrator Ann Anglin, and County Attorney Jim Clevenger.
In a reorganization of the commissioners, Kevin Overmyer was retained as commission president, Stan Klotz was retained as vice president and Michael Burroughs as member.
