Air Quality Study to be Conducted on Marshall County Buildings

The Marshall County Commissioners reviewed a letter of engagement with DLZ this month concerning a study on the county’s HVAC and air quality systems.

Commission President Kevin Overmyer explained that with COVID-19 remaining a concern, a study of the HVAC and filtration systems could be conducted to ensure the greatest quality of air for health of the county employees.

Laurie Johnson with DLZ presented the agreement to the commissioners that contains the work to be done at a reimbursable cost of $8,000.  Overmyer stressed that costs for any potential updates or new systems could be reimbursable with COVID-19 funds.

The study would include the Marshall County Building, Marshall County Courthouse, Marshall County Sheriff’s Department, and the Marshall County Museum.

The commissioners voted unanimously to approve the agreement with DLZ.
