Culver Town Council to Meet Tonight

The Culver Town Council will meet tonight where they will get an update on the mold remediation issue at the Culver-Union Township Public Library. Library officials previously released information that mold growth was found in several areas of the basement including the computer lab, large meeting room and foyer area. That area was closed to the public in order to diffuse the mold issue. Eradication efforts took place immediately upon notification.

The town council members will hold the third reading of an ordinance that would place town council and clerk-treasurer candidates in the May Primary Election rather than holding a town convention. Voters in the town convention determine the candidates to be included on the November General Election. With a low voter turnout at the recent town convention, it prompted the action to move the election to the May Primary.

The town council members will also approve an architect contract for Stellar Communities Designation program projects, and updates will be given on the Marshall County Crossroads Stellar Initiative and local Stellar project plans. Department heads will also deliver reports to the council members.

The Culver Town Council will meet at 6:30 p.m. ET tonight at the Culver Town Hall at 200 E. Washington Street.
