Plymouth Clerk-Treasurer’s Staff to Move into Renovated Office Space Friday

Plymouth City Building

It is the hope of the Plymouth Clerk-Treasurer’s staff that they can move into the renovated office space in the Plymouth City Building this Friday. The project has been delayed several months due to a stairwell design issue and other issues that have come up during the course of the renovation process.

City Attorney Sean Surrisi said the Mayor and the City Promotion Coordinator won’t be able to move into the upper portion of the building as punchlist items are being completed.

There is a moisture issue in the lower level of the building and the crews are looking into the underlying problem before moving can begin.

The heating and cooling units had clogged filters so the system was going to be reset and that should be done this week.

The original completion date was in June. Plymouth City officials have had to extend the lease with the Plymouth Chamber of Commerce to occupy the building for office space during the time the Plymouth City Building has been under construction.
