Plymouth City Attorney Sean Surrisi and Planning Director Ralph Booker appeared before the Marshall County Commissioners Monday morning to discuss the intergovernmental agreement for planning services between the county and the city.
Surrisi explained that the first quarter contract was approved, but the second quarter needs to be approved by the county. The Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety members approved the contract at their meeting last week as the same terms, conditions and pay apply. The commissioners did agree to the contract as well.
Booker said there hasn’t been much happening with work for the city as there haven’t been many hearings for the Plymouth Plan Commission and Plymouth Board of Zoning Appeals during the first quarter.
Booker will be retiring at the end of June and he said he will continue to work with the City of Plymouth for planning services throughout the rest of the year. The search for his replacement is still ongoing. The position is in the advertisement stage and one application was received as of Monday morning.
